I don’t blame you, when the first thing you would think when you hear cheap speakers is that the quality must be extremely mediocre for prices like that. Yes this used to be true, but ever since the what i call “Prosumer” generation has taken over, budget speakers no longer means budget sound! Besides the 2 I mentioned brands you should look out for include, Bose, Altec Lansing and Creative (which in my opinion produces some of the more futuristic designs, so if that is your cup of tea you would get the best of both worlds, style and sound).
